One person died upon admission at Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital while several others are receiving treatment following yesterday’s nasty bee attack in Mutare’s Dangamvura high-density suburb.
Although the police could not readily comment on the incident at the time of publication witnesses said the people were attacked by the bees around midday. Many ran for their dear life.
No one really knows what irritated the bees that were camping beneath a bridge that connects the Area 3 suburb and the Home Ownership.
Chris Mashinya reportedly succumbed to the attack after he was attacked by the insects together with his mother who is currently on treatment.
Mourners are gathered at the family house in Area 3 house near Dangamvura Shopping Complex.
