The death toll from Friday’s Mvuma accident that claimed nine lives has risen to 10 after one of the victims died on admission at Mvuma Hospital this morning.
Meanwhile, the government has provided state-assisted funerals for accident victims.
The accident happened when two commuter omnibuses collided head-on along the Harare Masvingo Highway in Mvuma this Friday.
One of the commuter omnibuses had church goers of the African Apostolic Church led by Arch-Bishop Paul Mwazha, while the other was carrying members of the Zion Christian Church (ZCC), who were on their way to attend church services during the Easter holidays.

Nine people have died while 31 others were injured when a Toyota Caravan kombi and a minibus collided at the 192 km peg along Harare-Masvingo road early this morning.
Bodies of the deceased are at Mvuma Hospital mortuary for post-mortem while the injured 20 are admitted at the same hospital. Learn More
