Eight people have been burnt to death at a house in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.
Police say suspects armed with riffles stormed the house and asked about the whereabouts of the owner.
After realizing he wasn’t there, they allegedly instructed the victims to undress, doused them with a liquid, and set them alight.
Police say eight died on the scene while four survived with severe burns and were rushed to hospital.
The motive for the murders is unknown, but the police suspect it could be drug-related.
