FC Platinum look to continue winning run

DEFENDING Castle Premier Soccer league champions, FC Platinum look to continue creeping into the top four of the log when they take on struggling Black Rhinos at the National Sports Stadium.

After a slow start to the season, the defending champions are however just three points away from the log leaders Highlanders who are on 18 points.

The Norman Mapeza coached side takes on struggling Black Rhinos at the National Sports Stadium this Saturday looking to continue with their steady ascendancy on the log.

Black Rhinos anchor the log with just one win and have scored a paltry three goals, while FC Platinum have 15 points in 10 matches.

Elsewhere, Bulawayo Chiefs, who are in a six-match unbeaten run, host unimpressive Cranborne Bullets at Luveve stadium, while rejuvenated Manica Diamonds take on Yadah at Gibbo stadium.

Sunday will see a blunt Dynamos side invade Mhondoro Ngezi for a date against Ngezi Platinum Stars at Baobab stadium in the peak of the fixtures.

The match promises to be an exciting battle as both teams are separated by two points on the log standings with Ngezi in second place with 17 points, while Dynamos is eighth with 15 points.

It’s going to be a battle of a solid defence against as sharp strike-force as Ngezi are free scoring, having found the back of the net 15 times, while Dynamos have a mean defence, having kept nine clean sheets and letting in just three goals.

In other matches, CAPS United host Simba Bhora at the National Sports Stadium, while Highlanders take on Green Fuel at Barbourfields, with Triangle battling Sheasham at Gibbo stadium.

Match day eleven concludes on Monday as ZPC Kariba host Chicken Inn at the National Sports Stadium.
