The country singer Jana Kramer has a baby and a wedding on the way. The 39-year-old, who is engaged to former soccer player Allan Russell, revealed Thursday she is pregnant with the couple’s first child together.
Kramer shared the news on Instagram with an ad for Clearblue pregnancy tests.
“We’ve been keeping another secret from you guys (I promise this is the last Announcement…at least for a little while 🤣) but I’m pregnant!!!!” Kramer wrote in the caption of a photo where she holds a positive pregnancy test next to Russell. “Beyond blessed and grateful for this baby to be a part of our story. I never thought I would see the word pregnant again on a test, but thankful for @clearblue for making it as clear as ever.”
“I didn’t think it would ever happen again, if I’m being honest. I’ve been through a lot, so this has just been a really beautiful thing,” Kramer told People magazine. “I’m letting it all sink in. It’s everything I’ve wanted and more. Allan was so sweet. He wrote me this little sticky note saying, ‘You deserve the happy ending.'”
Kramer said because of her previous miscarriages, “I didn’t even know if it was possible. I’m like, yes, it’d be beautiful for us to create something because I love this man.”
She told People she thought being pregnant “would be the silver lining with everything that happened, but I’d always get kind of down about it because I didn’t know if I was capable of carrying a pregnancy again.”
Kramer shares two children with ex-husband, former NFL player Mike Caussin:, daughter Jolie, 7, and son Jace, 4. Russell has one teenaged son from a previous relationship.
“Every time Allan and I kissed, Jolie’s like, ‘You’re getting married and having a baby! I want a baby brother, baby sister.’ I told her we were pregnant and she was so happy,” Kramer added.
The “One Tree Hill” alum revealed her engagement to Russell during a May episode of her “Whine Down with Jana Kramer” podcast.
“I’ve had a few things that I have been not talking about because (I) just want to do it when I’m ready, and so I’ve got an announcement today,” Kramer said on the podcast. “Allan and I have been dating for six-and-a-half months, and he asked me to marry him.”
As for how Russell popped the question, Kramer said the proposal took place during a pool party when the couple and Kramer’s children broke away from the gathering for a stroll to their new house. While sitting on the house’s front porch steps, Russell got down on one knee to propose to Kramer.
“Jolie just started jumping up and down,” Kramer said of her daughter’s reaction to Russell’s proposal. “It’s like she knew what was happening.”
Russell reflected on the engagement and his relationship with Kramer in an Instagram post.
“A forever with you just feels right and has done since the day I met you,” Russell wrote. “I’m proud to call you my fiancée and cherish every minute we spend together.”
Kramer’s engagement follows her recent split from Caussin. The couple filed for divorce in April 2021 after six years of marriage.

The football veteran has a history of infidelity. In 2016, the couple separated after it was revealed Caussin had been cheating on Kramer. The two later reconciled and said they were working on their marriage.
This will be Kramer’s fourth marriage. She was married to Johnathon Schaech from 2010 to 2011 and to Michael Gambino in 2004.
