According to reports, the Hollywood couple wants to renew their vows this summer after a turbulent year. Next month the couple will celebrate their first wedding anniversary after rekindling their early-noughties romance, which hooked the world of showbiz.
The much-loved couple first began dating in 2002, with them getting engaged for the first time that same year. They then postponed their wedding in September 2003 and officially split in January 2004.
Reuniting, rekindling, and then going Instagram official on JLo’s 52nd birthday in 2021, the love birds were engaged for a second and final time by April 2022.
Then last summer the couple got married not once, but twice, with them first eloping in Las Vegas before going all out for a white-themed wedding ceremony at Ben’s Georgia home one month later.
And now they want to do it all again in a third ceremony, but this time a renewal to mark their first anniversary.
MailOnline reports that the couple wants to renew their vows before having knees up in their lavish $ 60 million mansion because they are “in such a great place romantically and emotionally”, with the “not taking this second chance for granted”.
The source spilled that the couple is just as in love as ever, with their first year of marriage having been “spectacular”.
According to the paper, the couples’ blended family “are all in sync” and they want to celebrate that.
With them in a good place, the source then added that the couple “have each other’s backs and they fully support each other in everything that they do, which makes such a limited amount of stress for them to deal with”.
But although the source gushes over how stress-free and spectacular the couple’s year together has been, they fail to mention their alleged red carpet row and reports that claimed Ben was “growing tired” of JLo’s “diva demands”.
In May the couple, who are said to be loved up, had a seemingly tense exchange that saw Hollywood hunk Ben appear to sternly point towards something, while popstar and actress Jennifer also made pointing gestures.
Following the tense appearance, The Sun then reported a source told them how Ben was annoyed with the singer’s “diva demands” and how he wanted “to slow down” whereas JLo was more business-focused and “all-or-nothing”.
Not only this, but the couple has had to work at blending their families because both parties have kids from different relationships.
Ben shares Violet Anne, 17, Seraphina Rose, 13, and Samuel, 10 from his marriage to actress Jennifer Garner. While JLo shares twins – Emme Maribel Muñiz and Maximilian David Muñiz – with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
Earlier this year JLo spoke candidly about her and Ben blending their families, with her noting the “emotional transition”.
“We moved in together. The kids moved in together,” she shared on Today at the start of 2023.
She added: “It’s been, like, a really kind of emotional transition, but at the same time all your dreams coming true.”
