Boxer Adrien Broner Apologises To Rick Ross For Standing Him Up

Rick Ross has received an apology from Adrien Broner for making him wait “for hours” at his last fight. The four-time division boxing champion took to Instagram over the weekend to address a number of people in the entertainment and sports worlds who he feels he’s wronged in the past.

A repentant Broner started off by apologizing to both JAY-Z and Meek Mill. “I wanna apologize to Jay-z for telling him to suck my dick for sending me a contract from @rocation,” he wrote, referencing the 2015 incident which he previously apologized for.

“I wanna apologize to @Meekmill,” he continued. “When we first met, it was awkward but I always fucked with u but I just didn’t think you really fucked with me as though that’s the only reason I gave ‘Shorty’ my attention, and ever since then you just really ain’t been rocking with me but I take that on the chin like a man bro I still support you 100%.”

Adrien Broner then apologized to fellow boxers Gervonta Davis and Diddy, before ultimately extending an olive branch to Rozay.

“I wanna say sorry to @richforever cause at my last fight I told him to meet me there too early and he was just sitting there for hours so he left but I apologize, big bro,” he said.

So far, none of the celebrities have replied to Adrien Broner’s apology as of yet.

The 33-year-old’s apology could potentially stem from a June interview he did with The Danza Project, where he was heavily inebriated and called out a number of his boxing contemporaries.

Both Adrien Broner and Rick Ross have an extended history as friends. In 2016, Broner spoke about how the MMG mogul mentored him when he launched his About Billions record label.

“Ross is definitely coming on board,” he told AllHipHop at the time. “He’s gonna help us push through. He’s a mentor of mine. Ross just actually hit me up not too long ago. We gonna be hooking up in a minute and we’re going to be doing some big things this year.”

Rozay previously walked Broner to the ring when he fought Carlos Molina on the undercard for Floyd Mayweather‘s fight against Marcos Maidana back in 2014.

The Port of Miami rapper performed his single “Box Chevy” as Adrien Broner got hype for the mega fight, which he won in a unanimous decision.
