Uyajola 9/9 to air despite Jub Jub saga – Video

Moja Love is not backing down on its new season premiere of Uyajola 9/9, despite allegations of rape, attempted murder, and assault being levelled against presenter Jub Jub. And to whet the viewers’ appetite, the channel has even released a teaser of what’s to come.

The new season of Uyajola 9/9 will kick off on Sunday, 6 August, at 21:30 on the DStv channel.

Last week, Uyajola presenter Jub Jub handed himself over to police after a warrant of arrest was issued in his name. The charges – which were made by four women, one of them being Amanda du Pont – pertain to the period between 2006 and 2009.

After appearing at the Johannesburg Magistrates Court, the TV presenter and muso was released on R10 000 bail.

But that hasn’t stopped Moja Love from going ahead with one of their most popular shows – Uyajola 9/9. Shortly after Jub Jub made headlines, the channel claimed that it would “monitor the progress in this matter”. It also claimed that it would “allow the law to take its course.”

It has since released a teaser clip of what to expect on the show, modelled on the US show Cheaters.

Watch the teaser:

In a trailer posted on Jub Jub’s Instagram account, the presenter is seen visiting various places of interest around South Africa to catch cheaters in the act.

This includes soccer stadiums, beauty spas, bars, and taxi ranks. And judging by the reactions, the new season is bound to be its most dramatic yet.
