The Southern Africa Development Community has not endorsed the Zimbabwe elections. Its observers say the polls violated democratic ideals.
Among their concerns were the cancellation of opposition gatherings and reported voter intimidation.
Due to delays in getting ballot papers to some crucial districts, particularly opposition stronghold Harare, the elections continued for an unusual second day.
