Eight students from Moray Primary School in Bulawayo were reportedly injured in a car accident today. The accident occurred at the intersection of 28th Avenue and Matopos Road, adjacent to the school.
Witnesses at the scene stated that the driver of a kombi, which was transporting Moray Primary School students, misjudged the distance between the kombi and a Mercedes-Benz vehicle. The kombi attempted to cross in front of the Benz but was too late, resulting in the Benz colliding with the rear of the kombi and injuring approximately eight students. The injured students were subsequently transported to the hospital.
The accident left skid marks on the road, and the kombi’s windscreen and bumper were damaged. Due to the graphic nature of the accident, pictures have not been published at this time. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
