SABC1’s popular telenovela Uzalo has confirmed the departure of two prominent actors from its cast. Wiseman Mncube, known for his portrayal of Sibonelo, and Nkanyiso Mchunu, who joined the show in 2022 as Siphamandla “Wizard” Nkosi, are set to bid farewell to Uzalo, an announcement that has left fans sad.
Uzalo series producer King David Mukwevho said their departure at the end of this season marks the end of an era. He said they extend their deepest gratitude for the indelible mark they’ve left on the show.
“We’ve had the privilege of witnessing Wiseman Mncube and Nkanyiso Mchunu’s incredible journey on Uzalo.

Wiseman, who has been a part of Uzalo since 2018, will be shifting his focus to Mzansi Magic’s latest telenovela, My Brother’s Keeper, which is scheduled to premiere on Monday, 23 October. Uzalo series producer King David Mukwevho expressed his gratitude to both actors, acknowledging the significant impact they have had on the show.
