Kyle Cooke says former BFF Carl Radke lost more than just his fiancée after calling things off with Lindsay Hubbard.
“I want to emphasize they’re both hurting,” Cooke said of his “Summer House” co-stars in an interview with E! News. “This is a very unfortunate situation.”
However, the Loverboy founder claims that “Carl has tried very, very hard to be as respectful as possible” amid their split — even giving Hubbard their shared New York City apartment.
“Yes, he’s the one who called it off and he’s giving her space. [But] he’s basically homeless letting her live in the apartment that they both pay for.”
“The poor guys trying to figure this all out in real time,” Cooke added.
The 41-year-old also confirmed the now-exes had been seeing individual therapists as well as a couple’s therapist “since they basically started dating.”
“From my perspective, there were times where I was like, ‘Man, it’s almost like the only time they could communicate on any given week was in therapy,’” he told the outlet.
“It’s almost like they couldn’t even communicate anymore without a third party and Carl was like, ‘That is not how I’m gonna spend the next 50 years of my life.’”
Yet it wasn’t until three months before the pair’s wedding that Radke finally “drew the line in the sand,” according to Cooke.
Page Six confirmed in August that Radke pulled the plug on their relationship while filming Season 8 of the hit Bravo series.
Two weeks later, Hubbard slammed her ex-fiancé for breaking her heart on camera in a scathing Instagram post.
“My entire life and future was ripped out from underneath me and I’ve had a hard time making sense of it all – with no answers or closure on why,” she wrote atop a black screen.
“I feel humiliated by how it went down, and simultaneously heartbroken that it happened in the first place. My trust has been betrayed, and coming to terms with that has been difficult for me,” she continued.
Yet since then, the 37-year-old has seemingly been making the most of things, even turning her pre-planned bachelorette trip into a fun girls’ weekend.
In fact, sources told us Tuesday that Hubbard was seen “openly avoiding” her ex at the “Winter House” Season 3 premiere party.
Eyewitnesses told Page Six that “Carl arrived first” and Hubbard, who appeared to be in great spirits, showed up “about an hour later.”
Yet as the blond beauty “came in for hugs and pictures with the rest of the cast,” Radke made a swift exit into “another room.”
Meanwhile, another insider confirmed that Radke was “definitely off and very somber” and “left shortly after Lindsay arrived.”
In other news – Katie Couric opens up on surviving breast cancer
Katie Couric is sharing a update on her health after her battle with breast cancer. “I’m a living, walking example of the importance of early detection and getting screened,” Couric, 66, told PEOPLE on Tuesday at the American Ballet Theatre Fall Gala in New York.
“I was very fortunate,” she says. “My cancer was caught very, very early when it’s most treatable, and if I can just be an advertisement for people to get screened, to get their mammography done, to talk to their doctors, and if they have dense breasts, to get additional screening.” Read More
