The cause of death of pop star Jourdin Pauline’s pregnant sister Maleesa Mooney has been confirmed after the 31-year-old model was found dead in her apartment.
Almost a month after Maleesa was found dead inside her Los Angeles apartment more details have emerged about the pregnant model’s cause of death. According to the L.A. County Department of Medical Examiner Maleesa’s tragically died from homicidal violence. Her death was also caused by “other significant conditions,” according to E! News.
At the time of her sudden death Maleesa was two months pregnant. Her family originally called police for a wellness check after they noticed her text messages turned from blue to green on iMessage indicating that her phone was offline. Her cousin, Bailey Bobb, said that she had abruptly stopped answering her phone for an entire week which caused concern for her family. Bailey told KTLA last month: “When a week went by, we just knew something was off. Her messages weren’t delivering and we knew something was up because we all have a special relationship with Maleesa.”
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department went to check on Maleesa on September 12th where they found her deceased at 200 block of South Figueroa Street. After the tragic update about Maleesa’s cause of death her famous sister Jourdin told KTLA: “It’s honestly so stressful. I have thousands and thousands of scenarios in my head of what could have happened because we don’t know.”
According to the medical examiner, Maleesa’s cause of death has been deferred. Jourdin believes it is due to her sister being so badly beaten that it was hard for examiners to figure out her exact cause of death. Jourdin said that she is frustrated that she still doesn’t know who is responsible for her sister’s death as no arrests have been made and the investigation is still ongoing.
She told the news outlet: “This person is still out there and the police are not telling us anything,” she continued: “What is the hold up? What did the guys see? Can you share it with us? Suspects? Surveillance video that you do have? Show us something, tell us something so we can look out for it.”
aleesa’s body was found two days after another model Nichole Coats was also discovered dead in her downtown luxury Los Angeles apartment sparking fears that a serial killer was on the lose in the area. But according to NBC News, investigators do not believe the two deaths are related.
