Behati Prinsloo revealed the sex of her and Adam Levine’s third child, a son, on Thursday. Nine months after giving birth to her baby boy, the Victoria’s Secret Angel, 35, detailed the experience on the “Mother Daze” podcast.
While she didn’t share the child’s name, Prinsloo used he/him pronouns to describe the infant’s arrival 10 days past his due date. The model, who is also the mother of daughters Dusty, 7, and Gio, 5, opted not to have an epidural and told her doctor at the point of no return that she was “feel[ing] really good.”
Prinsloo felt “insane pain and bliss” during the “rollercoaster of feelings” and “tunnel vision” she experienced.
She and Levine, 44, welcomed their baby boy in January but waited two months to confirm their expanding family with an Instagram photo of his feet. Prinsloo similarly kept her pregnancy out of the spotlight as it came amid the Maroon 5 frontman’s cheating scandal.
The Grammy winner made headlines in September 2022 for exchanging flirtatious direct messages via Instagram with Sumner Stroh and more models, which he copped to while denying having a physical relationship with any of the women.
“I crossed the line during a regrettable period of my life,” Levine wrote in a social media statement. “I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family.”
Although Prinsloo has yet to speak directly to her husband’s NSFW messages, the couple continued to put on a united front during the fallout. The three-time mom didn’t address the scandal on Thursday but did say it took her and Levine “longer than expected” to conceive their son.
“We were kind of, like, also thinking, ‘Maybe that’s a sign,’” Prinsloo recalled. “You know, ‘Maybe we’re good.’ And then of course I get pregnant.”
She and the “Misery” singer have been married since July 2014.

In calling off the engagement — as ET exclusively reported in August — Carl said the heartbreaking decision was a byproduct of analyzing a relationship that, to him, had serious foundational issues he just couldn’t look past.
