A jealous man from Figtree, Plumtree is in soup after he axed his wife whom he accused of cheating. Reason Moyo appeared before Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware yesterday.

Nembaware remanded Moyo in custody to December 11 for trial. The state led by Selestine Madziwa alleged on December 4 Moyo went to his wife’s workplace around 8pm

The wife who works as a storekeeper at Figtree had closed. Moyo who was carrying an axe knocked on the door and the wife came out.

He started accusing her of infidelity before trying to axe her on the head. The alert wife blocked the axe and was cut on the hand.

A police report was filed leading to the arrest of Moyo.
