Michael Stein, best known for being one of Britney Spears’ dancers on her Piece Of Me Tour, has died at age 32. The famous dancer’s partner, Kaylie Yee, shared the sad news of Michael’s death on social media on Wednesday. Writing a message, announcing his death, Kaylie penned: “I’m not sure I could ever find the perfect words to summarize what Michael meant to me.
“As tears roll down my face, all I can think about is the incredibly huge hole that is left in all of us, knowing that he is no longer here,” she went on. Kaylie then said that Michael was her “best friend”, and noted that they had been together for 10 years, which were filled with “adventure, laughs, love and living out our dreams in LA”.
She went on: “With all of the beautiful moments, of course there were hard times, but he never lost his passion for LA or his dedication to the industry.
“This is what he was always sure about and what I admired most of all. Michael, in honour of you, I promise to never give up, to keep fighting for the dream, and to keep living for the best moments in life.”
Michael was the dance captain for Britney’s 2018 tour titled Piece Of Me, with him also known for having performed with her during her Las Vegas residency. And, as well as working with Britney, he also worked with the likes of Little Mix and Kylie Minogue. Michael’s work wasn’t limited to the stage, because he also popped up on TV shows like Glee and America’s Got Talent.
Underneath Michael’s partner’s post paying tribute to the late dancer, fans and friends flocked to share their own messages of condolence. One person penned: “So incredibly sorry for your loss. Loved him as a dancer and such a great smile too.”
Someone else then added: “Sending all the love and strength your way Kaylie! I’m so sorry for this loss. Praying for you and all his loved ones.” While a third wrote: “No!!!!! I’m so sorry for your loss. Hugs and prayers to you and your family – I can’t even believe this news.
