Sister’s former husband killed by her siblings

Two Seke brothers find themselves in legal trouble following the alleged murder of their sister’s husband amidst a dispute over property sharing. John Mukono (31) and Shadreck Mukono (24) appeared in Bindura Magistrate Court on charges related to the assault of Stanley Gwaze, who has since passed away.

According to the prosecution, on July 6, around 1:00 PM, John Mukono and Shadreck Mukono went to Stanley Gwaze’s home in Glendale to retrieve their sister’s belongings from the marital residence of the deceased and their sister, after attempts to resolve their disagreements had failed. Upon arrival, a disagreement ensued between Stanley Gwaze and the accused brothers, resulting in an altercation.

Stanley Gwaze reported the assault at ZRP Glendale and received treatment at Concession Hospital, where he was discharged. However, his condition worsened on July 7 around 7:00 PM at home, leading to his admission to Bindura Provincial Hospital. Unfortunately, he passed away the following day. The Mukono brothers now face legal consequences as the case unfolds in court.
