Two individuals lost their lives, and eight others sustained injuries following a collision between a Toyota Hiace Kombi and a Mazda double cab on July 12, 2024.
The incident took place at approximately 9:30 am at the 47-kilometre mark along the 22 Miles – Mafararikwa Road. The Toyota Hiace Kombi was not carrying any passengers at the time of the accident, whereas the Mazda B2200 double cab was transporting eight passengers.
Authorities transported the deceased to Victoria Chitepo Hospital for post-mortem examinations, while the injured individuals were admitted to the same medical facility.
