Zimbabwe Cricket announced the squad, known as the Chevrons, that will face India in a five-match T20I series starting from July 6 to 14 at Harare Sports Club. Justin Sammons, the newly appointed head coach, will lead the team for the first time since his recent appointment by the national cricket board.
The squad includes the return of Wesley Madhevere and Brandon Mavuta, who are back after serving a four-month ban for substance abuse. Additionally, bowler Tendai Chatara rejoins the team after missing the Bangladesh tour.
At 38 years old, Captain Sikandar Raza will lead a youthful squad, with Zimbabwe’s team averaging 27 years of age. Young talents like Brian Bennett, Tadiwanashe Marumani, and Faraz Akram add depth to the team’s lineup.
