Miss Universe 2023, Sheynnis Palacios, is set to embark on a highly anticipated visit to Zimbabwe, as confirmed by Tendai Hunda, the license holder for Miss Universe Zimbabwe. Palacios, who made history as the first Nicaraguan to win the prestigious Miss Universe title, will arrive at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport on Monday afternoon.
The visit, organized in partnership with Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, is part of Palacios’ international tour following her crowning achievement in San Salvador, El Salvador. During her stay in Zimbabwe, Palacios is scheduled to explore some of the country’s most iconic landmarks, including the breathtaking Victoria Falls, among other notable destinations.
Palacios’ win at the 2023 Miss Universe pageant was a significant milestone, with Anntonia Porsild of Thailand as the first runner-up. Before clinching the Miss Universe title, Palacios had already made a mark in the world of international beauty pageants. She reached the top 10 in the 2017 Teen Miss Universe pageant and also competed in the 2021 Miss World pageant.
