“The National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ) informs the nation of a fire outbreak at the company’s mechanical workshops in Bulawayo this afternoon (16/09/2024). Fortunately, there were no injuries reported,” the statement said. “Investigations to determine the cause of the fire, which broke out around 1330hrs, are already underway and details will be shared in due course. Fifteen (15) decommissioned coaches which were awaiting disposal as scrap were damaged.”
