Police launch manhunt following two murders in Harare

In a troubling turn of events, police in Highlands, Harare, have initiated a manhunt for two male suspects linked to the death of 21-year-old Wayne Kudakwashe Gamble. His body was discovered floating in a local swimming pool after he attended a party with former schoolmates on Sunday.

According to a police update on X, Gamble’s body has been transported to Parirenyatwa Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination as authorities work to uncover the circumstances surrounding his death.

In a separate incident, police in Epworth are investigating another murder case that occurred on the same day near Epworth High School. The suspects, identified as Evidence Shirichena and Elvis Shirishena, allegedly stabbed their cousin, Justice Magombeze, aged 30, in the stomach following a dispute over a mere US$3. Unfortunately, Magombeze succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at Chitungwiza Central Hospital.

Both sets of suspects are currently on the run as police intensify their search efforts. The community remains on high alert as investigations continue into these alarming incidents.
