President Emmerson Mnangagwa has expressed gratitude to the church for its vital role in backing government initiatives, particularly in the health sector. On Thursday, he received a generous donation from Vapostori nema Zion for ED, which included 570 hospital beds, 560 wheelchairs, and over 1 million sanitary wear items. During the donation ceremony, President Mnangagwa emphasized the significance of such contributions in aiding vulnerable members of society and achieving the government’s health sector objectives.
“We should thank those who have made this donation. These individuals consider the needs of others rather than their own. They mobilized resources to help those who are less fortunate. Instead of distributing the items themselves, they chose to present them to the President to ensure they reach those in genuine need. It is now my duty and that of my office to identify the most vulnerable individuals in our society to receive this assistance,” he stated.
Madzibaba Moses Gwasarira, the leader of the church group, expressed his satisfaction in contributing to the country’s development efforts. “I am happy to do my small part in supporting the government’s development drive,” he said. The church continues to play an essential role in supporting government initiatives across various sectors as part of the broader push for sustainable development.
