Vapositori for ED promises President Mnangagwa 2.3 Million votes

Some members of white garment churches (apostolic sects) who call themselves Vapositori for ED (VED), have pledged to deliver more than 2 million votes for President Emmerson Mnangagwa and ZANU PF in general elections slated for later this year.

The Herald reported that VED members met Mnangagwa at State House in Harare on Friday where they made the pledge.

Through their spokesperson Madzibaba Obey Mapuranga, VED told Mnangagwa that ZANU PF will rule Zimbabwe “forever”. Said Mapuranga:

We are saying had it not been for the democratic kind of rule that came from the whites, our erstwhile colonisers, this country would be ruled forever by ZANU PF because it is the only party that sacrificed blood to liberate this country, there is no other party.

But because this country is not a theocracy, it’s a democracy, we have accepted that and we are coming into the democratic processes and voting.

We are going to bring the vote of more than 2.3 million Vapositori in their churches, they will vote for ZANU PF.

Mapuranga said Mnangagwa’s leadership is unique adding that the ZANU PF leader came up “with a divine message, leaving no one and no place behind”.
