Chicken Inn forward Michael Charamba hoping to carry his team

CHICKEN Inn attacking midfielder and current club’s top goal scorer, Michael Charamba is hoping to replicate his superb form when his side faces off with Manica Diamonds at Gibbo Stadium in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match this Saturday.

With three goals under his name so far, Chicken Inn attacking midfielder, Michael Charamba is hoping to continue with his good form. The 27-year-old is a product of Ngezi Platinum’s developmental side, is enjoying a new lease of life at the Gamecocks and believes he has a lot to offer this season after being sidelined by a knee injury.

“All I can say is that I work hard with the help of the coaches and my teammates. Football is a team sport you can’t perform alone,” he said.

“My target is to score in every game. From last season it was a bit hard after returning from injury. I had a knee injury. I just have to keep pushing,” he added.

Gibbo Stadium has not brought positive results for most visiting teams but Chicken Inn head coach, Prince Matore is banking on their last visit to the Lowveld, which saw them sharing spoils with Triangle United.

“It’s a good feeling, a confidence booster. What is important is to maintain consistency. We are having a difficulty fixture, Manica Diamonds are playing good football and they are at home,” noted Matore.

We need to account for ourselves and collect maximum points. We have seen them playing a, they are a compact side. After the win, everyone is fighting to start which is one of a confidence booster,” Matore added.

The Gamecocks and the Gem Boys are tied on 12 points, although Manica Diamonds have a superior goal difference and occupy the fifth position as compared to their rivals who are seventh on the log.
Diminutive midfielder Richard Hachiro will miss the trip to the Lowveld but the team has no other injury worries.
