Expect more surprises in Big Brother Mzansi season 4

Fasten your seat belt and brace yourself because you’re in for a wild ride when the fourth season of Big Brother Mzansi returns to MultiChoice’s DStv on January 21, 2024.

The new season will feature the most unpredictable group of housemates to ever move into the Big Brother Mzansi house: it’s a dynamic mix of fun, wacky, and bold characters from diverse backgrounds.

Under the 24/7 supervision of the mysterious Big Brother, aka “Biggie”, these housemates will have to do their best to outwit each other to win the hearts of the audience so they won’t be evicted during one of numerous public votes. After all, to be crowned the ultimate winner and bag a huge cash prize, they’ll need to remain isolated in the house for a full 70 days.

Dubbed Big Brother Mzansi: S’ya Mosha, this season is all about disruption, says Shirley Adonisi, director of local entertainment channels at MultiChoice. “Viewers are familiar with what Big Brother is all about and they know what to expect every season — or so they think. With season 4, we are messing with those perceptions and blowing their expectations out of the water.”

”Season 4 has more than just a few twists and turns that will keep viewers guessing,” agrees Big Brother Mzansi executive producer Natalie Bleksley of Red Pepper Productions. “The format is being enhanced by adding new game mechanics … nothing is predictable, and Biggie is here to shake things up, building on the elements that viewers love such as Saturday Night Parties and Friday Night Games.”

The charismatic Lawrence Maleka returns to host the show, which is once again is being sponsored by LottoStar.

“The LottoStar brand is all about making people’s dreams come true,” says Maria Pavli, head of marketing at LottoStar. “We’re proud to stand behind a production that brings a nation together, keeps us in suspense and creates great reality entertainment.”

Big Brother Mzansi season 4 premieres on January 21 2024 at 6pm. Tune in to catch all the drama and disruption 24/7 on the dedicated Big Brother Mzansi channel (DStv channel 198) with Eviction shows every Sunday on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161; available on DStv Compact).
