Police have officially reported the tragic death of five individuals in a road accident that took place on Thursday night at the 106-kilometre mark along the Karoi-Binga Road. According to a statement posted on the police’s X account (formerly Twitter), the incident involved a UD truck overturning, resulting in the immediate fatalities of five people. Additionally, 26 others sustained injuries in the same accident.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirms a fatal road traffic accident that occurred last night at the 106-kilometre peg along Karoi-Binga Road. Five people lost their lives, and 26 others were injured when a UD truck overturned. Further details will follow.”
