Talent Chiwenga Issues Stern Warning to ZANU PF-Aligned Terror Groups

Controversial and outspoken government critic Talent Chiwenga has issued a powerful and unyielding public condemnation of what he terms “terror squads” aligned with Zimbabwe’s ruling ZANU PF party. In a scathing letter released on the official letterhead of Jesus Revelation Ministries, Chiwenga directly accuses several state security agencies, including the Ferret Team, the Special Air Service (SAS), and the newly controversial FAZ unit, of committing crimes against humanity.

The letter is a fierce rebuke to these state actors and affiliated groups, whom Chiwenga holds responsible for an escalating wave of violence, intimidation, and repression aimed at silencing dissent and maintaining political control. He warns that the continued bloodshed of innocent civilians, especially those peacefully protesting government policies, will have consequences. His message is clear and uncompromising: “He who lives by the sword shall die by the sword.”

“Murdering innocent citizens for expressing their disapproval of your policies is not just a heinous crime against humanity, but it is an act of war on the citizens,” Talent Chiwenga wrote. “You shall pay, sooner rather than later. God is not asleep, and neither are His people.”

Talent Chiwenga Warns Zanu PF Terror Groups

This bold statement comes at a time when Zimbabwe is witnessing heightened political tension and reports of widespread human rights abuses. Eyewitness accounts, civil society organizations, and opposition parties have documented numerous cases of abductions, unlawful detentions, torture, and harassment targeting opposition supporters, activists, and independent journalists. Many of these incidents are believed to involve government-linked security operatives and affiliated militia groups operating with impunity.

Talent Chiwenga ’s denunciation is particularly significant given his profile as a vocal critic of the government. Known for his fearless and often provocative sermons that mix religious themes with sharp political commentary, he has long been a thorn in the side of the ruling elite. Over the years, he has survived multiple suspicious car accidents and alleged assassination attempts, which he maintains were orchestrated efforts to silence his dissenting voice.

The minister’s public letter does not shy away from naming specific government security units and accusing them of deliberate brutality against civilians. The Ferret Team, a notorious government intelligence outfit, the elite SAS military unit, and the recently established FAZ unit have all come under sharp scrutiny. Talent Chiwenga alleges these entities operate with near-total impunity, unleashing terror on communities that dare oppose the ruling party’s policies.

He underscores the moral and spiritual dimensions of the crisis, invoking divine justice as inevitable. “The blood of the innocent cries out to heaven,” Talent Chiwenga declared. “Those who spill it in cold blood will answer not only to the people but to God himself.”

Beyond condemning the violence, Chiwenga calls on the Zimbabwe Republic Police and other security agencies to uphold their constitutional mandate by protecting citizens equally and impartially rather than serving partisan interests. He challenges the security forces to abandon their role as instruments of political repression.

“The security apparatus must remember that their duty is to serve and protect the people of Zimbabwe—not to terrorize them on behalf of any political party,” he emphasized.

Chiwenga also urged Zimbabweans to remain resolute in the face of intimidation and to pursue peaceful means of political engagement. He called for unity among opposition groups, civil society organizations, and ordinary citizens to hold the government accountable and reclaim democratic governance.

Despite the risks he faces, Talent Chiwenga reaffirmed his commitment to speaking out against injustice and defending the rights of the oppressed. “I will not be silenced by threats, violence, or fear,” he stated. “Truth and justice will prevail in Zimbabwe.”

His words have resonated with many Zimbabweans disillusioned by decades of political violence, corruption, and economic hardship under ZANU PF rule. While the government has dismissed his statements as politically motivated and unsubstantiated, human rights defenders and international observers have increasingly expressed concern over the deteriorating human rights situation in the country.

As the political landscape grows more volatile ahead of upcoming elections, voices like Talent Chiwenga’s highlight the urgent need for accountability and reform. The preacher’s warnings serve as a stark reminder that sustained repression and violence risk plunging Zimbabwe into deeper instability unless meaningful dialogue and change are embraced.

In a nation longing for peace and justice, Talent Chiwenga s defiant call to end state-sponsored terror groups challenges the ruling party to confront its actions—or face the consequences. The unfolding situation remains closely watched by citizens, regional actors, and the international community alike.
