Zimbabwean comedian Frets Donzvo is set to receive a brand-new 2026 Toyota Fortuner GD6 and US$10,000 in cash from businessman Wicknell Chivayo.
Chivayo announced the enormous gift in an emotional Facebook post celebrating the comedian’s talent, originality and consistent hard work.
The businessman said Frets had earned his respect by using comedy to bring happiness into people’s lives. Moreover, he revealed that watching the entertainer’s skits had become part of his morning routine.

Chivayo instructed the comedian to visit Madzibaba Chipaga on Monday to collect the new Toyota Fortuner GD6 2.4D.
In addition to the vehicle, Frets will receive US$10,000 to cover his fuel expenses.
The businessman described Frets as one of Zimbabwe’s finest comedians and praised every aspect of his performances.
According to Chivayo, the comedian’s clothing, facial expressions, body movements and timing make viewers laugh before he even begins speaking.
“Your talent is simply outstanding,” Chivayo wrote.
He added that creating laughter without saying a word requires a rare gift. Therefore, he wanted to recognise Frets publicly instead of continuing to enjoy his work without expressing his appreciation.
Sir Wicknell says Frets lifts his spirit
Chivayo revealed that he regularly searches for Frets’ social media pages shortly after waking up.
The businessman said the skits give him a positive start to the day. They also remind him that laughter can provide comfort during stressful or difficult moments.
Almost every morning, he reportedly looks for new videos before beginning his daily activities.
That personal connection appeared to inspire the surprise vehicle announcement.
Chivayo thanked Frets for using his creativity to entertain Zimbabwean families. He also congratulated the comedian for remaining original and consistent while building his career.
Furthermore, Chivayo encouraged Frets to continue believing in his talent.
“Do not look back,” he told the entertainer.
The businessman predicted that greater opportunities could eventually take the comedian beyond Zimbabwe’s borders. However, he urged him to maintain the qualities that helped him build a loyal following.
Who is Frets Donzvo?
Frets Donzvo, whose real name is Liberty Jeure, has become one of Zimbabwe’s most recognisable digital comedians.
His short skits draw inspiration from ordinary Zimbabwean life. Consequently, his characters often feel familiar to viewers who recognise the situations, conversations and behaviour he recreates.
Rather than relying only on dialogue, Frets uses exaggerated facial expressions, unusual clothing and physical comedy. This visual approach makes his content easy to understand and share across different social media platforms.
His skits have explored subjects such as rural life, unemployment, relationships, social media behaviour and everyday financial pressures.
Frets has also collaborated with prominent Zimbabwean entertainers, including Madam Boss. These partnerships have helped introduce his comedy to an even wider audience.

Although many people know him primarily as a comedian, Frets is also a singer, songwriter and self-taught instrumentalist.
He can play the guitar, drums, keyboard and marimba. His music incorporates Afro-fusion, jiti and Afro-jazz influences.
Frets previously explained that he wanted to create music that could entertain different generations. His releases include Messenger, Chitanga Wanamata and Dzidzanai, a collaboration with Afro-fusion musician Mbeu.

Frets had not publicly collected the vehicle at the time of the announcement. Nevertheless, Chivayo’s promise has already become a major entertainment story.
