A jilted man from the Morningside suburb in Bulawayo committed a gruesome act of violence by brutally murdering his wife in front of their 13-year-old daughter.
The victim, Acqualline Sadziwa (35), was stabbed 19 times with a kitchen knife by her husband, Pascal Dube (43), who also crushed her head with a boulder. The suspect is still at large and police have launched a manhunt for him.
The Chronicle reports that Bulawayo provincial police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube has confirmed the murder and stated that they are appealing to anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts to contact any nearest police station.
According to the Inspector, the deceased had made her plans to leave the marriage without involving the suspect, which created tension between the couple. The suspect ordered the deceased to leave everything behind, including her cellphone, which he had bought for her.
When the deceased removed the sim card and gave it to the suspect, he got infuriated, pushed her out of the house and stabbed her 19 times before crushing her head with a boulder.

A tenant who preferred to remain anonymous revealed that she heard people quarrelling and minutes later, the deceased’s daughter came running and screaming.
She locked herself and the deceased’s daughter inside her room before phoning the police. When the suspect’s uncle arrived, he found the woman already dead, and the suspect was nowhere to be found.
