Cassper Nyovest Celebrates Debut Album Tsholofelo As It Turns 9

Cassper Nyovest celebrates the 9th anniversary of his debut album, Tsholofelo. The project was released in 2014 and it sold Gold in 3 Months; it later sold platinum after 7 months. Major League DJz acknowledged that the album was a classic.

Tsholofelo means Hope, named after Cass’ sister; the album features HHP, Okmalumkoolkat, Bucie, iFani, Riky Rick, Bass Mdlongwa, Ntukza, Kyle Deutschmann, Tshego, Anatii, Skales (credited as Young Skalez), KayGizm from Morafe and Prokid.

Taking to social media, the rapper announced the anniversary and shared a video of how he cooked a collaboration off the album with the late ProKid.

“My first studio album Tsholofelo dropped today 9 years ago. Here’s a clip of the Legendary Prokid and me in the studio with Ganja beats making one of the songs on the best-selling South African Hip Hop album of all time,” he captioned the post.
