- December: Receive email notification regarding the recommendation status of your application for consideration in the host country.
- December-May: Overseas review by Public Affairs Sections of U.S. Embassies and binational Fulbright Commissions takes place, culminating in the nomination of select candidates.
- January-June: Recommended candidates proceed to the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board for approval. IIE notifies successful candidates of their Fulbright award via email.
- June-Onward: Grant details are finalized, and selected scholars commence their Fulbright experience, aligning with the start dates outlined in the Catalog of Awards.
