A major fire erupted at Southerton Police Station on Friday afternoon, destroying 12 vehicles. According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the blaze was ignited by a malfunction in an electricity pylon.
In a statement, the ZRP confirmed ongoing investigations into the incident, which occurred within the premises housing the Duty Uniform Branch (DUB) and CID Vehicle Theft Squad (VTS).
“The fire, originating from an electrical pylon, quickly spread across the compound, leading to the burning of 12 vehicles,” the police reported.
