Nadia Nakai has been spotted for the first time since the death of her boyfriend AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes, in Durban last Friday.
The female muso appeared at a press conference in Johannesburg alongside AKA’s family. Nadia – who has been dating AKA since late 2021 – was pictured in all-black clothing.
Hours after AKA’s family issued a statement about his memorial and funeral services on Friday and Saturday, respectively, they were seen all together in public for the first time.

AKA’s parents Lynn and Tony Forbes, his brother Steffan and his partner Brittany Smith and Nadia Nakai, made an appearance at Rockets in Bryanston, where the media briefing was held.
In keeping with African tradition, Nadia was seen wearing a black doek on her head and a long, conservative dress.
