Presenter and actor Khaya Dladla has scored a big gig on Mzansi Magic, presenting Our Perfect Wedding season 13.

He told the publication that he felt blessed about it and was ready to show Mzansi what he was good at.

The 33-year-old first shared the news with his fans on Instagram on Tuesday, 31 January, posting: “For me, this gig is a great opportunity for people to see my other side in terms of what else I can bring to the table. However, he admitted that filming the show was challenging.

“It’s great, but very different for me. It is a different space for me as you get to meet people from different cultures and traditions,” said Khaya, sharing how he auditioned for the show.

“I was just wrapping up my shoot on House of Zwide when I received a call from Connect TV, giving me the opportunity. There will be great moments on this show. People must just be ready to see a different side to me.”

Khaya said his message to young people who looked up to him was for them to fight for their identity.

“We suffer a lot from our identity as people. That’s why I always preach my name everywhere I go,” he said.

Khaya became famous when he broke into the entertainment industry with his role as GC on SABC1 soapie, Uzalo. He won many people’s hearts with this role as well as his way of using catchy phrases. He has since moved on and joined e.tv soapie, House of Zwide.
