Sim Dope whose real name is Simphiwe Gumede, was a friend of the late rapper, AKA.
Kiernan “AKA” Forbes dropped a song titled after his friend, Sim Dope, but lots of people didn’t know it was a name of a person.
The song is a hit and many grooved to it without being savvied about the origin of the name of the song.
AKA’s death emerged as the identity behind the title of the song, Sim Dope.
On the 17th of February, during the memorial service of the Touch My Blood hitmaker, Sim Dope mounted the stage to talk about Kiernan.
“I wrote a song dawg… about you, and me, life and everything,” Gumede quoted AKA at the memorial service.
