Hot 102.7 FM has shared details of the memorial service for the later radio and TV presenter Mark Pilgrim, who died earlier this week after a battle with stage four lung cancer.
While the event remains private, fans of the veteran media personality can stream the service virtually. In an update shared by Hot 102.7 FM’s social media account, details. No other details of the memorial or mention of a funeral service were made. The station did share a famous quote by Mark; “Don’t stop believing.
Friends and family of Mark, including his two daughters Tayla-Jean and Alyissa with ex-wife Nicole Torres as well as fiancee Adrienne Watkins, are expected to make an appearance.
Mark tragically lost his battle with stage four cancer on Sunday, 5 March, more than a year after his diagnosis.

Meanwhile, a host of Mark’s radio colleagues have shared fond memories of their time with the late star. They include tributes from former 5FM DJs Barney Simon, Alex Jay, Sasha Martinengo, Gareth Cliff and Ursula Chikane – who all worked beside the star
And it was clear that the cancer fighter had touched each individual in a special way. the service, which takes place in Johannesburg on Friday, 10 March, were announced.
The post read: “Join us in paying tribute to our beloved Mark Pilgrim. Alex Jay – who now works at Jacaranda FM – shared: “You put up a very brave & public fight against cancer. Inspirational. Sadly the dread disease has claimed another victim. I’m going to miss you big time, baldy. Gone too soon.”
Barney Simon – also at Jacaranda FM – shared a pic of Mark Pilgrim’s CDs titled Radio Rock and 80’s Pilgrimage. He tweeted: “It hurts. You were special and very brave. We are going to miss that smile and voice. Welcome to the great gig in the sky Mark. Respect!
