James Maddison, on Wednesday, signed a five-year contract worth £40m with North London side, Tottenham Hotspur.
The 26-year-old midfielder joins from relegated side, Leicester City to sign a deal that will run till 2028.
Having been faced with a promotion battle back to the English Premier League next season, Leicester City had no choice but to cash in on their key midfielder whose contract will run down in just a year.
The elegant English midfielder has been regarded as a loyalist to his former club side.
Last season, while Leicester city was having a difficult time, Maddison still struggled to register 10 goals and nine assists in the EPL.Maddison, who arrived Leicester from Norwich City in 2018, has had a good time well-spent at Leicester.
He featured for the Foxes in 203 games and scored 55 goals. He won both the FA Cup and Community Shield while at Leicester..The former number 10 becomes the third player to Spurs, and the seventh senior player to depart relegated side, Leicester.
Over the course of five seasons, he has established himself as one of the Premier League’s best attacking midfielders.
Maddison also has a good track of statistics. the elite is evident in the statistics. Since his arrival at Leicester, Maddison hplds the third highest number of chances created in the EPL, falling behind Kevin De Bruyne and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Arsenal have completed a £65m deal to sign Kai Havertz from Chelsea on an unspecified long-term contract.
