Nick Cannon reveals a vision told him he was going to be a father of many

TV presenter Nick Cannon has revealed exactly how he knew he would become “a father of many”. The 42-year-old presenter has 12 children – who range in age from five months old up to 12 years old – with six different women, including Mariah Carey and Bre Tiesi.

Nick said he had “manifestations” from God which suggested he would have a rather large brood.

“It’s almost like when you have these manifestations or even these visions if that’s what we want to call them, it’s like, ‘Oh, that all makes sense now’,” he said during an episode of The Language of Love podcast with Dr. Laura Berman.

Speaking about the visions, he told the relationship therapist: “You get them in pieces, or they’re fragmented.”

Nick explained how the visions never appeared quite as clear as “the Father Abraham conversation”, referencing the biblical story of God promising Abraham he would be “exceedingly fruitful”.

“I’ve never heard that clarity, but I heard that like, ‘Yo, you’re gonna be a father of many. There’s gonna be your great influence, your lineage, your offspring are gonna do great things’.

“Like I’ve had that, and I’m like that, ‘Oh well . . . the more the merrier.’ We roll the dice to the name and what you will build,” he said.

The host also said he’s had visions involving his legacy.

“I had the vision that my name will be great as, like, the Rockefeller name,” he told Dr Berman.

He added: “Legacy is about what you do, not what you produce. My children hopefully will have their own legacies; what did you mean to the world?

“If my legacy was to have children, that’s not impressive.

“I want my legacy to be someone who did for others, someone who built hospitals and education facilities, left literature and content to where you say, ‘Wow, he was a thinker. He was a doer. He cared about people.’ That’s your legacy.”
