Today, 31 July, local people in Mahusekwa, in the Mashonaland East Province got the shocking news of a baby who was found dumped in a pit toilet. It seems to have left many traumatized as such incidents are unusual in the small area.
The baby was discovered by a woman who works around when she visited the toilet located behind the Chivese bar. She heard the baby crying and quickly notified the police who swiftly reacted.
Upon the authorities arriving and checking the scene, nurses were also called in and a hole was dug where the baby was taken out from. The baby was found wrapped in a blanket and after inspection, it was found to be a boy.
