Dumi Mkokstad says his marriage to Ziphozenkosi Nzimande is being threatened. According to Sunday World, different women have been going to the gospel singer’s house in Mt Ayliff in the Eastern Cape, claiming to be his wife.
Dumi’s father, Falithenjwa Nzimande revealed to the aforementioned publication that the threat has been occurring since 2020.
“Ever since he got married, we’ve been getting unexpected guests, and all of them claim to be Dumi’s wives or fiancés,” he said.
These women claim to be the chosen wives of the singer. The father further narrated how a woman came with her luggage to Dumi’s home.
“She said she received a prophecy from her bishop that she was Dumi’s chosen wife. She said that Dumi is married to the wrong woman and that she is the right one for him.”
“We contacted Dumi and he did not know the woman. We then took her to the police station for her safety.”
“I believe she was sent back to Johannesburg and we’ve never heard of her since then.”
He also talked about another woman who came with framed photos of herself and the musician. “She said she was from East London and claimed to be the chosen one for Dumi. She even had framed photos of Dumi and herself.
“I guess she took these photos at an event and decided to frame them. We also took her to the police station for her safety.”
Dumi Mkokstad told Sunday World that all of these incidents have left him worried, as some even go as far as confronting his wife.
“The last one was taken to the police station, however, she found her way to my wife’s home in Pietermaritzburg [KwaZulu-Natal].”
“We had to find a way of sending her back to wherever she came from. I am getting worried because I don’t know the meaning of this, or if someone is behind this.
“All these incidents happened after I got married and they are threatening my marriage.”
