Sha Sha expresses excitement as her I’m Alive album got nominated for the Rest of Africa category at the South African Music Awards 2023. Taking to social media, the star exuded gratitude and revealed why the nod means so much to her.
”I’M ALIVE has been nominated for a SAMA in the “Rest of Africa” category, Jesus supernatural grace once again locating me,” she wrote.
“Thank you to everyone who collaborated, composed, wrote, produced, recorded, and featured in this album. Also, those who supported, released, and promoted it. To say it has been a journey is an understatement.”
”I fought hard to get this project out to you. I had to name the album “I’M Alive” because the challenges I faced in those 24 months of making it are a testament to resilience, giving it my all, and believing that on the other side of that, there was a loving audience ready to receive it, from Zimbabwe, my home, South Africa, I’ve grown to love, to the rest of the world.”
“I thank you for always receiving my music and me with an open heart and for your love. For being patient with me when I need time.”
Sha Sha announces new music, “And yes new music is on the way.”
”I am excited for the next chapter and feels good to close “I’M ALIVE” with this nomination … All in God’s timing. Purpose over everything.”
