Struggling Granada parted ways with manager Paco Lopez on Sunday, months after he earned them promotion to La Liga. Granada, 19th in the table after losing 3-1 at Alaves on Saturday, are winless in last 11 league games and have only seven points from 14 matches.
They were also disqualified from the Copa del Rey earlier this month after fielding an ineligible player.
Lopez took over last November and led Granada to a Spanish second tier league title and a return to the top tier a year after being relegated. Lopez’s technical staff are also leaving the club, Granada said in a statement.
