Popular Mzansi radio presenter, Anele Mdoda left her 94.7 listeners in stitches earlier this week after she revealed how she unwillingly spent thousands at a club — blowing her entire festive budget. According to the media personality she visited a nightclub and asked for a bottle of tequila. Taking advantage of the lack of specificity, the waitress brought her a bottle worth R16k.
After seeing the bill, she had a huge shock, she also told the waitress that she would not be tipping since the waiter didn’t tell her the amount.
Social media users are now saying she should have specified and that the waiter deserves her tip.
The Breakfast Club show host, Anele Mdoda, left her listeners in stitches this week after revealing how she blew R20k at a Cape Town nightclub.
According to her, she was in the mood for a night of fun so when the waitress suggested a 1942 bottle of Don Julio tequila she casually agreed.
While drinking the tequila was all fun and games, she was quickly sobered when a bill of R20k was presented to her.
She then saw that the 1942 tequila cost a whopping R16k.
After dealing with her shock, she blasted the waitress for not telling her how much the drink costs before bringing it out.
According to her, the waitress didn’t do her job correctly and basically cost her her entire festive fun budget.
When asked by a listener whether or not she tipped, she boldly shared that she didn’t.
Upon hearing the story, some social media users believe that she should’ve still tipped the waitress. Others said that she was wrong for not asking about the price while she was ordering.
“But what did she expect, a waiter will never point you to the cheapest , it is common sense,” one person said while another wrote:
“Anele must go pay the tip.”
