Controversial businessman Leeroy Sidambe was allegedly scammed of over R100k by a real estate agent from Cape Town. The businessman took to social media to confirm the news.
Sidambe confirmed the rumours by sharing screenshots of his conversations with the agent. He shared the screenshots on Maphepha Ndaba’s Instagram page. He also shared proof of payments. The screenshots have been making rounds on social media since they dropped on the internet. Leaked chats reveal that the incident occurred in December 2023.
The real estate agent scammed Sidambe when he tried to book a posh villa in the leafy suburbs of Bantry Bay in Cape Town. According to reports, a one-night stay in Bantry Bay costs at least R18 000.
However, Sidambe leaked the chats after his efforts to find common ground with the alleged agent were unsuccessful. A few weeks ago, Mihlali Ndamase took to social media to swipe at Sidambe and his friend, whom she alleged of defrauding her. After their bank cards declined, Ndamase confirmed that she splurged on unclosed money on one of their vacations. Barely a year after going public, the two called it quits in 2023.
