The father of slain rapper AKA, Tony Forbes sent a birthday wish to South African DJ Zinhle’s mom, via Instagram on Sunday 28 January.
AKA’s dad Tony Forbes sent a sweet birthday wish to South African DJ Ntombezinhle Jiyane, popularly known as DJ Zinhle’s mom on Sunday 28 January. DJ Zinhle’s mom shares a birthday with Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA – the father of Zinhle’s daughter Kairo Forbes.
AKA was shot dead outside of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban on 10 February. Sunday 28 January marked the rapper’s 36th birthday. He was killed just two weeks after his 35th birthday. So, this was the first birthday that his family celebrated since his death.
DJ Zinhle dedicated a sweet birthday post to her mom. She shared a photo of her mom carrying her second daughter, Asante – who she shares with musician Bongani Mohosana, popularly known as Murdah Bongz.
“Happy birthday to my amazing mom ❤️ Happy birthday sis’ Jabu. I love you so much!!!!!!!!!!!,” she wrote.
AKA’s dad took to the comments section of the post to thank DJ Zinhle’s mom for being there for his family.
“Happy birthday aunty, God bless you, thank you for having been there for us as Forbes family ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” commented Tony.
