The trial date for M’diwa Chanetsa Mliswa, the daughter of politician and village head Temba Mliswa, along with her accomplice Tawanda Chigudu, has been scheduled for July 29. They are facing charges related to the possession of 1.3 grams of crystal meth. M’diwa has been released on bail, while Chigudu has been in custody since February.
Their arrest came after detectives searched a residence in Avonlea, Harare, where they discovered a sachet containing crystal meth. In a separate legal matter, Harare businessman Neville Mutsvangwa, along with his associates Simbarashe Tichingana and Elis Majachani, who are accused of engaging in illegal foreign currency dealings and violating the Telecommunications Act, have had their trial postponed to August 28.
