Jojo Robinson recently shared a concerning health update, revealing she had been hospitalized due to a serious medical emergency. The star of The Real Housewives of Durban took to social media on Sunday, posting a photo from her hospital bed alongside her friends, reality TV personality Nonku Williams and Ruan Scheepers.
In her post, Jojo recounted the frightening experience of being rushed to the emergency room at 1 am after enduring intense pain. She expressed shock at discovering her kidney was on the verge of failure, despite feeling perfectly healthy just moments before.
“I found out I had a 1.6cm kidney stone blocking my urethra, causing a dangerous buildup of pus in my left kidney,” Jojo shared. Urgent intervention was necessary, and her doctor swiftly removed the large stone while placing a stent in her kidney to prevent further damage. Jojo emphasized that without this procedure, her kidney would likely have failed within a matter of weeks.
Looking ahead, Jojo revealed she is scheduled for another surgery in two weeks to remove the stent and address the remaining stones in her kidney. Her ordeal underscores the importance of timely medical attention and serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of health challenges.
