Nhlamulo Baloyi, widely known as Nota, has been released on bail after appearing in the Randburg Magistrates Court in Johannesburg. The court granted the music executive bail of R5,000 on October 7.
Nota turned himself in at the Randburg Police Station on October 4, facing serious charges related to the alleged rape of actress Itumeleng Bokaba. Following his release, Nota took to Twitter to share his relief and excitement at being back home after spending several days in custody.
The court case has been postponed to November 7 for the verification of WhatsApp chats between Nota and the complainant, which are expected to play a crucial role in the proceedings.
Reflecting on his experience, Nota shared, “It was an emotional weekend for me, from the moment my father brought me to Randburg Police Station. We knew I probably had to spend the weekend.” As the legal process unfolds, the focus will now shift to the upcoming court date and the evidence that will be presented.
