Fatal Confrontation Caught on Camera
The incident reportedly took place on 6 April 2025 and has since gone viral on social media, where disturbing footage shows a Ford Ranger bakkie repeatedly driving over a man in full view of stunned bystanders. According to close sources, the altercation began as a confrontation between the two men over a woman allegedly involved with both of them.
Eyewitnesses claim that tensions escalated quickly, culminating in the driver using his vehicle as a weapon to fatally injure Mahamba. In the viral video, onlookers can be seen screaming and trying to intervene, but none were able to stop the attack in time.

Police are searching for a motorist implicated in the death of a man following a dispute.
The incident took place in Rivonia, Sandton, JHB.
The victim was run over and died.

Victim Dies at the Scene
Mahamba, reportedly the woman‘s boyfriend, succumbed to his injuries at the scene after the driver allegedly drove over him multiple times. The woman believed to be at the center of the dispute was present during the incident and is seen in the video watching in horror as the violence unfolded.
Investigation Underway
Authorities have not yet released an official statement, but the suspect is believed to be in custody as investigations continue. The brutal nature of the attack has sparked outrage and renewed calls for stronger measures against gender-based and relationship-related violence.
